Mutual Exchange £200 incentive

Have you recently been told that you are ‘Under-Occupying?’

Do you need to move to a smaller home in order to continue to get your full housing-benefit?

You could qualify for £200 to put towards your moving costs! If you are moving from a housing association property to a council property, or vice versa, the current incentive of £100 has been increased to £200 to help you to do this.

If you are moving home, you will need to complete a housing application form. This is so that the Council has a record of where its tenants have come from and who their landlord was.

Housing benefit reductions due to ‘Under-Occupation’ will come into place in April, so now is the time to consider transferring homes.
