Nicola Adams gets "Gold" at the London 2012 Olympics

Nicola Adams Leeds and Unity Housing resident completed her mission of obtaining Olympic Gold.

Unity Housing Association is happy to announce that Nicola Adams competed in the Womens’ Flyweight Boxing final yesterday (09/08/2012) and was successful in collecting the Gold medal.

This is an outstanding achievement and all at Unity are extremely proud of her. We would also like to congratulate Nicola for becoming the very first female Olympic boxing champion.

Nicola fought Chinese boxer and world number one Ren Cancan. It was a strong and dominant performance which saw Nicola cruise to a 16-7 victory at the ExCel Centre.

Nicola’s victory means another golden post-box for Leeds and yet another medal for the Yorkshire region.
