Win up to £100 in our Art & Photography Competition

Unity currently has a large amount of corridor space at our latest development, Stratford Court, Chapel Allerton, which we could do with some artwork to brighten it up!

If you’re a budding artist or photographer we could really use your help! We are holding a competition for A3 pieces of artwork or photographs which we will display in our corridors. The artwork / photography can be one of four themes:

• Spring
• Summer
• Autumn
• Winter

Closing date is 12pm on Weds 22nd July 2015.

Overall Winner: £100 voucher
11s and under overall winner: £25 voucher
11s and under runner up: £25 voucher
Category winner (Spring): £50 voucher
Category winner (Summer): £50 voucher
Category winner (Autumn): £50 voucher
Category winner (Winter): £50 voucher

Terms and conditions

The competition is open to anyone who lives or works nearby. There are no restrictions on employees, board members, their families, tenants or members of the community entering.

To enter the competition, please submit your A3 artwork / photograph no later than 12 noon on Wednesday 22nd July 2015 to Unity’s offices. You must write your name, age, Title of your artwork and the category you are submitting under on the back of your submission. You must also provide your contact address and telephone number. If you are under 16 we need your parent or guardians details too. We will only use this information for the purposes of the competition and will not use it for any other purposes whatsoever. We will not keep it longer than necessary for the operation of the competition.

Submissions must be A3 in size (approx. 297mm x 420mm)

You can use any medium on the paper or canvas, please bear in mind that it needs to be appropriate so it can be framed and mounted.

You can submit more than one entry if you wish, but no more than 3.

The Judging Panel will judge the artwork / photography anonymously and the winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in the grounds of Stratford Court in August (date TBC). The decision of the panel will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

The category winners will have their art work enlarged, framed and displayed at Stratford Court, runners up will have their A3 submissions framed and/or displayed at Stratford Court. We will also publish the winners on Unity’s website.

We will not return any artwork or photograph to you so please take a copy before sending it to us.
By submitting an entry to the competition you give Unity Homes and Enterprise permission for your entry to be published and grant Unity Homes and Enterprise non-exclusive, royalty free, worldwide licence to republish your competition entry in electronic copy and hard copy for the purposes connected with the competition.

Sending in an entry to the competition means that you accept these terms and conditions, which are the rules of the Competition. If you are under 16 you should check with your parent or guardian that they are happy for you to enter the competition based on these terms and conditions.

Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted. Joint submissions are allowed but if the artwork / photograph is chosen as a winner then only one prize will be awarded and must be shared between the entries.

The prizes cannot be exchanged or transferred and cannot be redeemed for cash or any other prizes.

Details of the winners will be announced at the awards ceremony and also published on Unity’s website. We may issue press releases where details of the competition and winners will be published.
