Unity reveals plans for brand new development at Holbeck!

On Saturday the 6th July the much anticipated Holbeck Gala took place on Holbeck Moor. The aim of the festival was to provide an entertaining and informative day for anyone living in the South Leeds area.

The event promised to be a fun day out for people of all ages. There was a wide variety of attractions including a climbing wall, reptiles and other exotic pets available for people to handle, and a stage set for the final of ‘Holbeck’s Got Talent!’. Stalls selling a variety of goods including locally made products and locally prepared food could be found amidst the festivities.

Visitors to the event were welcomed to Unity’s stall for free advice on housing, employment, welfare and more. Unity was also able to reveal to local residents our plans for our next development on Brown Lane East, just opposite the moor where the event took place.

The scheme will comprise 42 properties featuring a mix of 2 bedroom flats and 3 & 4 bedroom houses, available for affordable rent and shared-ownership. All properties will be built to at least Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3 meaning that they are more energy efficient than typical properties.
