Unity sponsors this year's Beeston Festival!

The much anticipated Beeston Festival took place this Saturday in Cross Flatts Park.

The aim of the festival is to provide an exciting, entertaining and informative day that unites people living in the area of Beeston. In doing so, the festival hopes to promote harmony, local regeneration, and community involvement.

Unity Homes & Enterprise was this year’s major sponsor of the event, owing to the number of properties Unity owns in the area and our presence in the community. Tenants, prospective tenants and other Beeston residents were welcomed to Unity’s stall for free advice on housing issues, employment support and money management.

The sunny weather at the event ensured a good turnout, and as such, much interest was generated on Unity’s next planned development in Holbeck. The scheme on Brown Lane East will feature a mix of 41 houses and flats available for affordable rent and shared ownership. The project is a redevelopment of a brownfield site, complementing the wider regeneration of Beeston and Holbeck and is due to be completed by November 2014.
