Kimberleys and Kitcheners residents learn to 'sow and grow'
Residents at the Kimberleys and Kitcheners were recently invited to a ‘street workshop’.
Those who attended the event received advice about how to maintain their gardens as well as free plants and compost to enable them to grow their own fruit and vegetables at home. The event was enjoyed by children and adults alike and gave the residents a chance to get to know one another.
Plants and seeds were provided by ‘Back to Front’- a voluntary organisation who aim to help people grow their own produce at home by teaching them the basics. They can also help you source the materials you need to transform your garden cheaply and sustainably. For more information you can visit their website here.
Also at the event, our Tenant Neighbourhood & Involvement Officer, Emma, was asking residents about the condition of their homes and what they felt needed replacing as part of our next 5-year planned maintenance programme.
If you did not have a chance to speak to Emma at the event, don’t worry. All Unity tenants have the opportunity to tell us what they would like to have updated in their homes as part of the survey if you haven’t done so already. You can even help us set the planned maintenance programme. To have your say, simply download a form by clicking the link at the side of this page.
