Unity is recruiting for 2 Board Member Positions 1X Chair of Audit and Risk Management Commitee and 1x Member with Finance/Treasury specialism
Now is an exciting time to join Unity as we are recruiting a new Chief Executive following the departure of our long-standing Chief Executive, Ali Akbor, who was appointed as the third member of the Grenfell Inquiry Panel in October last year. We have a new draft Corporate Plan that sets out our strategic vision for the next 5 years. The Chair of Audit and Risk Management Committee is a key role in our governance structure in the support and challenge of our executive team and in helping to manage the risks of the organisation. We also want to strengthen our finance and treasury skills on the board so if you are not ready to be a Chair but bring those skills we look forward to hearing from you. We are looking for strategic thinking and knowledge of housing association finance or transferrable skills from any sector that will give you the ability to understand housing association finance. As important as your skills set will be the fact that you share our absolute passion for what we do and are committed to our social purpose. We are committed to having a diverse board and are particularly interested in attracting more women and black board members.
These roles offer a fantastic opportunity to shape and support Unity Homes & Enterprise’s vital work and make a real difference to the lives of people in our local community. If you are as excited about our future as we are and want to be part of a highly committed and supportive board, then we look forward to hearing from you.
