Building the dream!
More homes and job opportunities are on their way!
Unity Homes & Enterprise is entering 2016 with a renewed determination to deliver affordable housing, regenerate local communities and help small businesses grow.
Established in 1987 to address the needs of black and minority ethnic communities in the city, Unity’s initial focus was in the Chapeltown area before extending to other parts of Leeds, including Harehills, Beeston and Holbeck. Unity now manages almost 1,200 properties in most areas of Leeds for tenants from all communities and ethnic backgrounds.
Chief Executive, Ali Akbor commented that: ‘In the last financial year we built 80 new homes and invested more than £1.3 million in home improvements’
Employing local people
The building of new properties not only provides homes for people with particular needs and those on low incomes, it also provides job opportunities in the form of construction apprenticeships and work placements.
Unity’s Employment Team would be very keen to hear from anyone who is interested in a career in construction. Our contractors are offering paid positions with the opportunity to earn a CSCS qualification. Please contact Unity Employment Services on 0113 200 7738 if you’re interested in a career in construction.

Wow I hope you will build 3 bedrooms bungalows in Woodhouse
I am sorry to inform you that the bungalows in Woodhouse will be 2 bedroom. Might you still be interested?
I would love to but unfortunately I need 3 bedrooms because I have 3 children but thank you for your time.
How much are the 2 bedroom properties parkwood crescent, that you are currently building?
Good Afternoon. Is it too late to express interest for the Holborn Court Bungalows? I have a Band A priority & want to move back to the Little London/Woodhouse area.
Hi I hope it's not too late but I would love to show intrest for the 2 bed bungalows. I am in a wheelchair and I have been on the housing list 5 years and nothing has been suitable until now. I have family and friends and carers live in the Woodhouse/little london area so it would be a perfect location also. Many thanks.
Hi there, I would be interested in a work placement in construction. I already have a green CSCS card.
Many Thanks
Stuart Milner
